We have received the following note from various faculty members and we are sharing it here with a view to bring the affairs of IIUI in limelight. Previously, the blog team deliberately refrained from posting the information which we have been continuously receiving from faculty members and university employees. However, the situation has drastically changed now and university affairs are getting worst day by day. It is pertinent that these and many other allegations of corruption, maladministration, nepotism and ideological bias should be thoroughly probed followed by appropriate administrative changes.

Open Letter
"Under faculty development programme HEC has approved 29 scholarships for IIUI faculty and has paid 31 million for first phase. Most of the faculty members have paid university fee and residential expenditures in advance with this understanding that University will pay them ultimately. Their Visa has been stamped but Dr. Siddique transfer and spent all money for building construction. All these faculty members and their families are unrest and mentally upset.
Dr. Siddiqu is bounded to strictly follow the criteria of current policy of BOG and HEC but Dr. Siddiqu is going to violate the criteria during the new appointments and can not appoint a person just on these ground that once upon a time he/she was associate professor/ Professor or he/she are working elsewhere other university as associate professor/ Professor so they have no need to fulfill the current eligibility criteria and even no need of medical fitness. Keep in mind that against any post or new appointment the candidate must be required to fulfill the present eligibility criteria given in the advertisement which must be according to current policy, but he is appointing so many people according to eligibility criteria of stone life.
Faculty has a great objection on contractual jobs. There are a lot of examples in which many favorite persons have been appointed against very high positions without any merit and they are being paid a very high salary which is one of the main deficit in budget at IIUI, although they do not qualify even more than lecturer, assistant professor and assistant director but they are acting as Chairman, Dean, Director and full Professors
You know after the age of retirement, Universities can only hire those people who have a strong academic career in their life but only for teaching or constancy/advisory not against the administrative or regular posts like Dean/ Chairman but beyond 65 no question about appointment. But he is also appointed four persons as a Deans who are round about 70 years old. One can dare to ask Dr. Siddique that how can he mange thousand of salary of Contractual people on the name of BOG contract and market subject??
Salary package of contractual people should be equal to the regular faculty members in the whole university or at least faculty wise it should be same. At present the ration between Contractual and permanent is 3:1. Still the regular faculty of BPS IIUI has not received the 20% of increased in their salary announced by government. Would you like to realize sir that how one can survive with this small amount of salary you know we live hand to mouth?
Dr. Anwar Hussain Siddiqu the President IIUI has appointed many favorite/family persons against very high positions without any merit and still this practice is going on. They all are being paid a very high salary although they do not qualify even more than lecturer, assistant professor but unfortunately they are acting as Chairman, Dean, Director and full Professors.
Dr. Siddique is playing the role of one man in the university. Without any consensus he tries to finalize all the rules and regulation either by force or by pressure. When his own daughter became ceased then he changed and diverts the criteria for readmission.
People having proven illicit affairs with female students are part of faculty and being promoted by the President himself. (Stories of Court marriage is also discussed among the students). Especially the case of Dr. Arbab who tried to black male a student can be verified through Ex Director women Campus Farhat Mujtaba.
He always bulldoze the proceedings of meetings of Academic Council, Selection Boards and take the wrong decisions which create agitation among the students and afterwards take back all decision which has become a routine for him.
He also appointed a Person Dr. Shuja. When he applied as associate professor on TTS during his COMSAT stay then his application was reviewed by Dr. Shokat hameed Ex Rector of GIK (at present is working in Planning Commission). Dr. Showkat hameed found that this person is badly involved in Plagiarism and on his report Dr. Junaid Zaidi terminate his services. One can verify it by Dr. Showkat Hameed.
Dr. Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq
Without foreign evaluation he has appointed Dr. Zia in grade 21 in the Faculty of Shariah and Law (He was assistant professor in AIOU), although he did not have required number of Papers in HEC recognized journals and has no LLB and LLM degrees on his credit. His PhD degree is also dubious. First Deans committee was rejected his application for professorship due to less number of publication than after the personal interest of Dr. Siddique, Dr. Zia is selected on the bases of voting through Dean’s committee. This all happened Dr. Siddique influence and pressure. Is it right criteria to appoint a person in grade 21 in the university with out having required number of publication? They have no teaching experience in formal education. Even he did not qualify for associate professor.
Dr. M. Irfan Khan
Dr. Siddique appointed Dr. Irfan as a full professor in BPS 21 who does not qualify even Associate Professor and he is already dismissed from his services from AIOU and has no required number of publications and did not published even a single paper in recognized journal of HEC in the last five years.
Dr. Farkhanda Zia
Dr. Siddique appointed a lecturer Dr. Farkhanda Zia directly in BPS 21 without foreign evaluation who does not fulfill the eligibility criteria and have no required number of publications. She went aboard for PhD on university’s scholarship and did not return after completion of her degree. Dr. Siddique elevated a lecturer to full professor and now she is not willing to serve the university. She is always applying for extended leave and reportedly still out of the country. University authorities decline genuine leave applications of faculty members but no one has asked her about her long term absence after completion of PhD study leave. Instead, Dr. Siddique extended her extraordinary favour.
Dr. M. Sher
In his last tenure his PhD degree was proved fake and now appointed as full professor in grade 21 without foreign referee reports and without meeting the HEC criteria. He has only three HEC recognized papers on his credit.
Dr. Irshad Ahmed Arshad
Dr. Siddique selected a person Dr.. Irshad Ahmed Arshad in grade 20 without foreign evaluation on 31st of January 2009. Dr. Irshad has only one paper in HEC recognized journal, although he claimed 08 number of publication but rest of his seven papers are not published in HEC recognized Journals even one paper has published in one of journal which is black listed and badly involved in plagiarism. Dr. Irshad does not qualify more than Assistant Professor. He is working assistant professor at AIOU nowadays.
FMS
Dr. Farooq, who claims to be nephew of President, was hired as PhD, but he is not a PhD and Dr. Shahbaz Gill is another one. The appointment criterion which was bulldozed for both are the part of FMS conspiracy and as result a man Mr. Danishmand is appointed as Dean in FMS who does not have PhD degree on his credit but also medically unfit for services.
The minimum criteria of HEC for the post of associate professor and professor on BPS 20 and 21 respectively:
Person must have PhD degree for the post of Associate professor and Professor(No relaxation/ no discretion of authority)
For Associate professor 8 publication recognized by HEC journals are required and at least two are with in span of five years (No relaxation/ no discretion of authority)
For the post of Professor ship 12 publications are required and three must be published with in the period of three years (No relaxation/ no discretion of authority)
For the post of Associate professor and Professor Application must be evaluated by foreign expert (No relaxation/ no discretion of authority).
For the post of Associate professor and Professor Application must be appeared before selection board (Relaxation up to discretion of authority).
Ten to 15 years teaching and research experience is also required (Relaxation up to discretion of authority).
In the presence of four senior faculty members at IIIE(ECONIMICS) Dr. Siddique appointed and retired bureaucrat on contractual basis with handsome salary package instated of permanent faculty members because he personally dislike them.
He also appointed Mr. Haider as full profess in FET nowadays he is working as Chairman and acting Dean of FET. This person is badly involved in corruption and dismissed from his services from his previous institute. His corruption can be find out through RASTEK COMPANY.
Keeping in view the plethora of facts it is very humbly suggested that an high profile committee should be formed to review all the selection process and the grievances of the faculty. We feel that at least seven members committee should be impartial and its member should be

Two nominee of teacher Community
Two nominee from other universities (NUST,COMSAT, QAU)
This committee should submit the report to Chancellor and Chairman HEC for further action.

time has come when Dr. Siddiqui and company should be asked to leave like their godfather: Musharraf marhoom.
People are forgetting many other facts.
There is another Dr. Irfan retired from PIDE employed in IIIE, contributing nothing and most of the times in the situation of schizophrenia. He feels great problem and trouble in reaching his office while returning from toilet.
The ex Director of IIIE did not qualify for the post of professorship but being accomplice of the President he was promoted as professor. The gentleman was also election commissioner for the election event of ASA for which he got filled nomination papers himself under his authoritative pressure in order to favor people who claimed to be the “real owner” of this university. Many a people have been inducted to the IIIE from colleges and from a particular group and party. A person from Federal Bank of Cooperatives without any experience from academics and with the only skill of pleasing his boss and boss of bosses has totally spoiled the department of Islamic Banking and Finance. Had the ASA been elected on merit the situation would have been different from what it is now.
Perhaps Dr. Siddiqui had been used at very large-scale by the group leading this university despite his administrative qualities. The people who are the beneficiaries are planning mal doers against Dr. Siddiqui through conspiracies. In every tenure, this group first enjoys the all possible benefits, and then start conspiring against the President. Another of IIUI, problem since its inception has been induction of the people from one ideology and single party which in fact kills creative academic activities. They never let enter people from different ideology even if they qualified merit for selection. The beauty of QAU is presence of heterogeneous group in the faculty with the only qualification of merit and intellectuals. You can find people from different affiliations in the QAU. The same is difficult to find here in IIUI. Even if you find some people with different ideology they are upset and most of the times exploited.
Solution: Transfer “Owners of IIUI” to Ripha University to play their own tone in their own town. Appoint people on merit for IIUI irrespective of their affiliations. Get rid of contract employees and the employees still on probation. Give liberty to the teachers to contribute and part knowledge with true spirit of academic audit. Respect heroes and disgust zeroes.

We should, however, not forget that Dr. Siddiqi has at least done one good deed by throwing the Acting Dean, Dr. Ijaz Mansoor Qureshi out of the university. 3. Track-record holder of using extremely foul and abusive language with all his students. Perhapds his islamic looks have given him the license to treat all of us like that.
4. No research paper to his title as FIRST AUTHOR in past seven years.
5. Hold a reputation for PLAGIARISM in his name; his name was in HEC's Blaclisted faculty member in August 2008, and then was suddenly and very strangely removed from the list upon lobbying. This can be checked and verified by Quality Assurance Wing of HEC, Islamabad, who still holds the original data file in their record.
6. Got a great reputation for absconding from the universities which he previously joined. Both his past employers, Air University and MAJU have launched complaints against him to HEDC. IIUI should also do the same as he is the soul responsible to all the unrest in his name in the university these days.
7. Holds a PhD in Particle Physics and Bachelors in Aeronautical Engineering and yet very astonishingly, remained the stakeholdeer of Electronic Engineering (Telecom as major) and the Dean of faculty.
8. Famous to form his groups which act as non-state actors within university, having reputation to emotionally blackmale the faithful ones in the name JIHAD, KHILAFAT, ANTI-SHIAISM and much much more....

Qureshi- Ijaz and Asghar - Trica in FET
Strange that you forgot some retired people from Pakistan Air Force serving in IIU. Some one has posted comments about the fired Captain from forces and dismissed professor from various universities including IIU, Dr. Ijaz Mansoor Qureshi, but two remaind in shadow. One is Mr. Mohammad Asghar, 65 years old, a non PhD but consultant who is getting a hand some sailary of 130,000/- per month in FET. He was expelled from Margallah Electronics in shame. The other one, Dr. Ijaz Mohammad, pension holder from airforce, CP fund holder from NUST yet hired on Rs. 2,00,000/- per monh in FET.
This is also notable that Ijaz Mohammad, on web of IIUI claims his MSc degree from Electronics Department QAU, but the QAU record is unable to prove the same. Even his MS and PhD degrees are dubious. The so called professor, according to the university record has no publication in HEC recognizaed research journals. Does he really qualify as Assistant Professor?
May we ask what is their real contribution to the university in camparision with the handsome salaries? If all retired and above 60 years contractual people can get this much with no output then regular and young faculty should get double
Another thing you all are forgetting is MAJU group that was brought by Dr. Siddiqui. He hired his most favorite Dr. Naveed Ikraam with his team. Dr. Ikram brought with him his unexperienced Research Associates who were thrown out by the selection board of university. But then the same Dr. Siddiqui arranged a secret selection board and they were hired as lecturers. This thing can be confirmed from Dr. Aafaq and Dr. Sakandar who were member of selection board. None of them was eligible to be Research Associate in our university. One of them, Atif Qureshi was third divisioner in BA and did his MS by paying money to MAJU and Dr. Naveed brought him with him. Even it is HEC's rules that a third divisioner can never become a university teacher. Last year Atif Qureshi failed fourty eight students out of fifty students of our class. He spoiled our future. We went for a strike but due to promises and pressure of our good teachers we quit that strike but no action was taken regarding this issue. Sir Imran! we respect you but you promised that president is serious to take action in this issue. Where is your promise? Now it is the time that Dr. Ikraam and his T.C.ers should leave the department. They spoiled the department.Our seniors never suffered with worst faculty like MAJU team. Do not know why good Islamians are not hired and why people like Dr. Ikraam are hired. We request the Government of Pakistan to take serious action regarding all misdeeds of Dr. Siddiqui and his team.
Another omission in the letter is a consultant in Faculty of Shariah and Law who is son of an old friend of Dr Siddiqui: Rizwan Faiz s/o Dr Faiz who served in IIIE once. His package was not even disclosed to the dean of the faculty. He alongwtih Dr Ziaulhaq, is hell bent upon destroying a valuable course of LL B Shariah and Law by changing its syllabi without the consultation of the senior faculty members who have served the faculty for a long time. Zia and Rizwan who joined the faculty recently have become the self-styled champions of the faculty. Its all a corollary of the agenda that entered IIUI under Musharraf's "enlightened moderation" who appointed Dr Manzoor as his "prophet" in IIUI and right from the beginning, the "prophet" and his "apostles" are working to spread the message of their "godfather" who is on his way to become a story of the past.
We are fead up with the comments against the MAJU faculty. You can ask any currently enrolled student of our department and he will tell you the difference between the new hired faculty and the old faculty (who have no exposure of industry or teaching other than IIU). The difference is very clear in each course that they have taught.
They take the required number of classes and each of around 1 hour 30 min. We have never experienced this before. We were used to teachers like Sir Sulayman who came in the class (if ever) for only 15 min
They have taught our juniors practical programming concepts. Our IIU teachers used to say that we computer science/software engineering graduates are not required to do practical programming.
I am sure that the comments earlier with our name is not from any currently enrolled student in our department.
At MS level they are conducting research and have taught our seniors how to do research - and not plagiarism as most of us used to do previously, including our old IIU teachers.
DR. QURESHI Should be banned and blacklisted by HEC to teach in any university
Seems that the administration took a right decision to kick Dr. Qureshi out. He is blackmaler; and emotionally takes advantage of students. We request President Zardari to put him in jail forever so that he should not destry the peace of the universities.

Expected New Dean Of FET
Dr. Zafarullah Qurashi served in KRL. He was never in the good books of Dr. A Q Khan. This gentleman has the honor of going to United States and spoke against DR. A. Q. Khan. He even approached their intelligent agencies to forward them the facts against about Dr. A. Q. Khan which were actually against Pakistan . Due to his bad repute when he was out of KRL, he joined NUST. He is a through bred mechanical engineering and not mechatronics engineering as he claim to be. In his last days he was asked to leave NUST by his head of department
He has been in Air University as a head of mechatronics and Dean of engineering. To his bad luck, the very HOD of NUST who fired him has become the VC of Air University. Running here and there like a miserable rat. He approached the Dr. Anwar Hussain siddiqui President IIUI the third terms. It seems unfortunately that he is successful this time. A dye herd Mechatronics Engineering will lead the Electronics through its terrible times.
He is famous and notorious for two things
Love for female teachers and students. One or two female teachers left the Air university because of his vulgar attitude. He cracks dirty and obscene jokes in the company of females.
Politics and hypocrisy he has one face to show the VC, One to his colleagues and one for his students.
I whish that the President not to take leave of his sanity. MS/PHD and research is not the preference of Dr. Siddiqui. He is just thinking how to earn money and how to fired good researcher and teachers from their position at IIUI. Some more teachers are on his hit list which will fire very soon. He is gathering around him scum of the drain.

Islam teaches justice but i am sorry to say about iiui where most of the time it does not exist at all. i am surprized to see how they cleverly plan to appoint their favourite underqualified personels by ignoring the merited one. this wordly life is the exam for all of us. everyone will be answerable for his deeds. this misuse of powers will be surely questioned by Almighty Allah, inshALLAH very soon. Hello, I currently bought a computer and i installed all the anti-virus and other software. I want my internet to work but when i go to my hardware files. Ethernet Controller and Bus Controller and 2 other software have a question mark next to them. It says that there is errors installing it.
